This was a simple Outlook 2010-2016 compatible add-in to push via an Enterprise environment to workstations. It used a simple XML file to add various direct links to webpages for tutorials, knowledge articles, videos, and more for employees.

The add-in would parse the XML file and display the links via a new ribbon item in Outlook. Due to the XML file parsing, this allowed the company to push updates to the menu without needing to remove or update the install with a new version of the add-in.

Most familiar with Microsoft Office add-in development will tell you that loading dynamic data for static buttons is not possible, but, it was achieved with this add-in. Last count I had, this was installed on over 50,000 machines in corporate and non-corporate environments and working as designed and desired using dynamic data for the ribbon generation.
